This is a gentle reminder that healing doesn’t stop when the session ends. Your system will continue to reorganise in the hours, days, and even months ahead. That’s not only normal — it’s how true transformation happens.
Here’s a timeline to help you understand what you might experience, and how to support yourself with care and compassion.
In the first couple of days, your body and nervous system are in recalibration mode.
Think of it like this: you’ve just dropped a stone into a still river — the ripples take time to settle. After an emotional or energetic release, your system begins flushing out what was stored or suppressed. This might feel like:
You may feel tired, fatigue, ‘burnt out’, lighter, teary, quiet, open-hearted, or unusually sensitive.
You may experience physical sensations like yawning, tingling, tension release, brain fog or trouble focusing.
Emotional waves can rise. You may feel cranky, irritable, weepy, grief, anger, or relief. Let them flow.
You may feel a need to rest, journal, take a bath, or unplug from people. Honour that. Your body is integrating.

Digestive shifts (e.g. loose stools, bloating, nausea
Integration often happens during sleep. You may need more rest than usual. If possible, listen to your body and rest or even nap .

Drink plenty of water and eat grounding foods — root veg, warm soups, herbal teas like nettle or chamomile.
Walking, yin yoga, stretching, or dancing can help your body release and regulate.
Journal What Arises
Write down insights, emotions, or dreams. Don’t worry about grammar or structure. Let it flow.
Create Stillness
Spend time without stimulation (social media, loud environments). Quiet helps your nervous system recalibrate.
This isn’t the time to rush back into doing. Give your system space to catch up with the energetic shift. Less is more.
Most people report a return of energy, clarity, emotional ease, and a sense of lightness. Trust your body and soul to lead the way.
Within 48 Hours…
Your body begins returning to baseline. You may feel tender, dreamy, slightly inward. The nervous system is processing new safety signals, and cortisol/adrenaline levels start to balance.
But underneath, something deeper is happening:
Neuroplasticity is active. Your brain is literally forming new pathways that no longer loop through trauma.
Old beliefs lose their charge. You’re not "thinking" differently — you’re being differently.
You may also experience:
Lightness, openness, increased emotional availability
Sudden insight or clarity about what really matters & stronger sense of self-trust
This shift is supported by neuroplasticity (your brain’s ability to form new connections) and your nervous system learning that it’s safe to be different now.
You’re not “trying” to be brave — you just are. This is often the point where internal change becomes external action — almost without trying. You may find yourself:
Speak up when you’d normally stay quiet
Take imperfect action where you once waited for everything to be “ready”
Feeling less self-conscious or afraid of being seen
Respond instead of react
This is the season of settling into your new self. What began as a release becomes a lifestyle.
You may notice:
More confidence
A natural draw toward visibility, truth-telling, or leadership
Starting to create from wholeness instead of fear
Clearer boundaries
You’re doing incredible work.
This is deep nervous system work; emotional, energetic, and physical.
And it’s working.
